Foldable iPhone Expected in 2025: Apple’s Entry into the Foldable Market

Rumors suggest Apple is planning to release its first foldable iPhone in 2025. This follows the expected launch of the iPhone 17 series. The foldable iPhone, internally known as V68, is designed to resemble Samsung’s Z Fold series, opening up into a tablet-like form. According to reports, the device will have a sophisticated camera system. This system may comprise four cameras, with one on the front, one on the inner display, and two on the rear. This arrangement aims to provide high-quality photos and videos. The phone could feature Touch ID instead of Face ID. Notably, the foldable iPhone is expected to use eSIM technology exclusively, eliminating the need for a physical SIM card slot. Apple’s suppliers have started preparing for the production of this new model. Production is expected to increase early next year, with the launch likely in 2025, potentially coinciding with the iPhone 18 series release. The device is currently being tested in black and white color options. The display will use a new in-cell touch technology to reduce the appearance of creases and improve the touch experience. The phone might also include Apple’s own C2 modem, which could replace Qualcomm’s components, enhancing performance and network connectivity. Although Apple has not provided official confirmation, the foldable iPhone is expected to enter the market next year.
