S. Krishnan, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India, while discussing Foxconn’s operations in India, mentioned to journalists in Taipei that some Chinese employees were asked to return, but this did not significantly affect the company’s operations. During a visit to a trade fair in Taiwan, S. Krishnan stated that Foxconn has had a plant in Chennai for the past five years, and the company is now preparing to open a new plant in Bengaluru.
