The new Google Pixel Watch 4 was introduced during the Made by Google Event, presenting a new smartwatch designed for consumers. This watch is available in two different sizes and incorporates a variety of features, including quick access to Gemini, over 40 exercise modes, and pulse loss detection, among others. The device stands out for its extended battery life on a single charge. In India, the 41mm (Wi-Fi) version of this smartwatch is priced at ₹39,900, while the 45mm size variant starts from ₹43,900. There is no official announcement regarding the release date. Similar to prior models, the latest model features a curved display; however, the company indicates that the bezel and peak brightness have been improved. It includes an Actua 360 always-on display with peak brightness up to 3000 nits. A major update has been made to the smartwatch’s hardware, specifically the chipset, with the inclusion of the new Snapdragon W5 Generation 2 processor. Google asserts that users of the Pixel Watch 4 will benefit from smart reply support, alongside Gemini voice assistant support. This watch is built on Material 3 Expressive UI. The smartwatch has over 40 exercise modes, and also allows users to create customized plans for running along with real-time guidance. Moreover, it includes a pulse loss detection feature, monitoring the wearer’s pulse and contacting emergency contacts in case of any abnormality. The Pixel Watch 4 is equipped with special functionalities like SpO2, ECG, and breathing rate detection. Featuring dual-frequency GPS, the watch also includes Wi-Fi and LTE support. The 41mm model offers up to 30 hours of battery backup on a single charge, while the 45mm model provides up to 45 hours on a full charge. It also has a fast-charging capability. Google says a new fast-charging dock is bundled with the smartwatch. The charging pin has been moved to the side to achieve 25 percent faster charging. The company claims the device can charge from 0 to 50 percent in 15 minutes.
