The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max could introduce vapor chamber cooling, a design element found in high-end Android phones like the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This innovation, if confirmed, would mark a first for Apple’s iPhones, offering a more efficient way to dissipate heat. The A19 Pro chip in the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to benefit from this new cooling technology, reducing thermal throttling during heavy usage such as gaming or content creation. The technology involves a small metal container with liquid that vaporizes to absorb heat, then condenses to release heat, allowing for improved temperature control. Besides this cooling upgrade, the iPhone 17 Pro is also rumored to include a 24MP front camera, improved rear cameras (including wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses), 8K video recording for Pro Max, a 120Hz ProMotion display, and a switch to an aluminum frame. The launch is anticipated in September 2025, with India prices projected to be high-end.
