The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is developing the e-Aadhaar app to simplify the process of updating Aadhaar details. This mobile application will allow users to easily modify their personal information, including name, date of birth, mobile number, and address. The goal is to provide a user-friendly platform that reduces the need to visit Aadhaar enrollment centers. A government official has indicated that the e-Aadhaar app could be available by the close of 2025. The app will leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Face ID to enhance security and streamline Aadhaar services. The e-Aadhaar app will facilitate updates, minimize documentation, reduce risks of fraud, and accelerate the entire process. In addition to user-initiated updates, the UIDAI is also planning to integrate automatic data retrieval from verified government sources, such as birth certificates, PAN cards, passports, and utility bills, to streamline and accelerate the verification process.
