Vodafone Idea has once again approached the Supreme Court to address the Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) issue, seeking a recalculation of its dues. The company is contesting the AGR figures and demanding a re-evaluation of the calculations from before 2017. Vodafone Idea alleges instances of duplicate accounting in the AGR calculations. The DoT had previously sought ₹5,960 crore but has subsequently increased its demand by ₹2,774 crore. The company received a notice from the DoT on August 13, requiring a response within 15 days. AGR represents the revenue on which telecom operators must pay license fees and spectrum usage charges to the government.
