Windows 11 users are set to gain access to a suite of new AI features via Copilot. Key among these is Copilot Vision, which provides the ability to scan and analyze on-screen content. This allows users to ask questions about what is displayed across multiple apps and webpages. Users will also be able to use Copilot to complete tasks on their PC, like improving image quality. A recent consumer AI report commissioned by Microsoft indicated that a significant percentage of people are using generative AI for work, hobbies and personal interests. Copilot Plus PC owners will have access to the AI agent through the Settings app and a new feature, ‘Click to Do’. Other updates include an AI-powered sticker generator for Paint, an object select tool for image editing, a new AI lighting option in Photos, and a precise screenshot tool using AI. Microsoft will begin rolling out these features in August.
