UP polls: BJP’s Rita Joshi seeks ticket for son, affords to resign from Lok Sabha | Information

Lucknow: Bharatiya Janata Celebration (BJP) MP and a senior chief from Uttar Pradesh Rita Bahuguna Joshi on Tuesday (January 18) sought a celebration ticket for her son within the upcoming state Meeting polls and mentioned she is keen resign from his Lok Sabha seat if the get together has determined to present the ticket to just one individual per household.
Joshi is BJP Lok Sabha MP from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. She wrote to BJP chief JP Nadda in search of a ticket for son Mayank Joshi from Lucknow Cantt for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Meeting polls.
Chatting with media individuals, the BJP MP mentioned, “He (son Mayank Joshi) has been working since 2009 and has utilized for it (a ticket from Lucknow Cantt), rightfully. But when the get together has determined to present the ticket to just one individual per household, I’ll resign from my current LS seat if Mayank will get a ticket,” Joshi informed media individuals.
“I wrote this proposal to BJP president JP Nadda and can at all times proceed working for BJP anyway. Celebration can select to simply accept or not settle for my proposal. I had already declared that I can’t contest elections, a few years in the past,” added Rita Bahuguna Joshi.
Elections for the 403 Meeting constituencies in Uttar Pradesh will likely be held in seven phases beginning February 10. The polling in Uttar Pradesh will likely be held on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and March 3 and seven in seven phases. The counting of votes will happen on March 10.
