Delhi. After Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra’ once again started from Manipur under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. Congress President Mallika Arjun Kharge flagged off the Yatra. To attend this event, around 70 people including Salman Khurshid, Rajeev Shukla, Anand Sharma, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Ashok Gehlot, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Sachin Pilot, Digvijay Singh, Pramod Tiwari took a special flight from Delhi to India. Reached Imphal with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Starting from Manipur, this yatra of Congress will end in Mumbai on March 20 after covering a distance of 6,713 kilometers. During this time, Rahul Gandhi will cover this distance by bus with 60-70 Congress leaders. He will also march on foot at important places. This is the second episode of Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, in which the Congress leader traveled from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. The 3500 kilometer ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ passed through 12 states. At the same time, ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ will cover 15 states.
Congress hopes that Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will have a positive impact on the party’s prospects in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Rahul Gandhi will pass through 110 districts in 67 days of his journey. The yatra will cover 355 Lok Sabha seats, which is 65% of the total parliamentary seats in the country. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP won 236 out of these 355 seats, while Congress was successful in winning only 14 seats. The yatra will also pass through Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, where Congress recently lost the elections.
