Four airports across North America experienced significant disruptions Tuesday due to a cyberattack broadcasting pro-Hamas and anti-Trump messages. The incident affected Kelowna International Airport, Victoria International Airport, and Windsor International Airport in Canada, along with Harrisburg International Airport in Pennsylvania. Instead of flight information, screens displayed defiant statements about the conflict, while loudspeakers aired offensive remarks against political leaders. At Harrisburg, a voice message was heard cursing President Trump and PM Netanyahu, advocating for Palestine, and claiming responsibility from a “Turkish hacker Cyber Islam.” Airport officials confirmed that the hackers exploited vulnerabilities in third-party software, affecting public announcement and display systems rather than critical flight operations. Authorities in both the U.S. and Canada have launched federal investigations. This event follows a series of similar cyber incidents targeting aviation infrastructure worldwide.
