With the Dragon spacecraft’s hatch sealed and all necessary checks completed, the Axiom-4 mission is ready for launch to the International Space Station. The launch, a collaborative effort between NASA, Axiom Space, and SpaceX, is slated for Wednesday, June 25, at 2:31 am EDT (Noon IST) from Florida’s Kennedy Space Center. The mission will use a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft, with docking expected on June 26. The crew comprises Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla (pilot), Slawosz Uznanski of Poland, Tibor Kapu of Hungary, and Peggy Whitson (commander). The Ax-4 mission carries significant importance for India, Poland, and Hungary, each of which is participating in a government-sponsored flight for the first time in over 40 years. This mission is also set to perform around 60 scientific studies. These studies will cover various fields of research, including human health and earth observation.
