Mir Yar Baloch has vehemently opposed the US-Pakistan trade deal regarding oil reserves, stating that the resources in Balochistan are the rightful property of the Baloch people, not Pakistan. In a direct message to former President Trump, Baloch contested Pakistan’s assertion of ownership over Balochistan’s mineral wealth, claiming it was a move to gain economic benefits. He specified that Balochistan’s resources, including oil, gas, and various minerals, belong to the Baloch people, and Pakistan lacks the authority to manage or sell them. Baloch criticized the deal, emphasizing that it would strengthen the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), which he described as a sponsor of terrorism. He warned that allowing Pakistan’s military and ISI to exploit Balochistan’s reserves would directly finance global terrorism, potentially leading to attacks similar to those of 9/11. Baloch asserted that the profits from such agreements would be channeled into supporting militant activities, specifically those targeting India and Israel. He also reminded the international community that Balochistan declared itself an independent republic in May 2025 and called for recognition of its sovereignty. Baloch concluded with a resolute statement, declaring that Balochistan is not for sale and that the Baloch people will not permit the exploitation of their land without their consent. The announcement followed Trump’s statement about a deal with Pakistan to collaborate on developing its oil reserves and choosing an oil company to lead the partnership.
