Four Baloch fighters lost their lives in a violent clash with a pro-government militia in Barkhan, Balochistan, on Friday. The fighting took place in the Koh-e-Jandar area, Rakni tehsil, and lasted for an extended period. Witnesses described the use of heavy weapons by both sides. The individuals killed were Mustafa Noor, Samiullah, Rasaan Qadir, and Shahzaib; their bodies were transferred to Rakni hospital. The opposing group is widely considered to be a state-backed death squad. Separately, Pakistani forces engaged in a military operation in the Spilinji area of Mastung district, leading to intense fighting. Troops entered the mountainous region late Thursday night, resulting in gunfire and explosions. The number of casualties is yet to be confirmed, and no Baloch armed group has claimed responsibility. The incidents underscore the persistent unrest in Balochistan, where clashes between nationalist groups and state forces are common.
