Bank Holiday 2024: According to the list of holidays of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will remain closed for 14 days in many states of the country in the month of March this year. The list also includes all Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays, public holidays and regional holidays. Apart from this, on the occasion of Good Friday, banks are going to remain closed in many states tomorrow i.e. 29th March.
According to the RBI holiday list, banks are going to remain closed in all the states except Tripura, Assam, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Srinagar on Good Friday. However, during this period ATMs will remain open and all online services will continue.
Will banks remain open on March 31?
The Reserve Bank of India said that the financial year is coming to an end. In such a situation, the Government of India has requested all bank branches handling government receipts and payments to remain open for business on 31 March.
Which banks will be open on weekends?
RBI said all agency banks will have to keep their designated branches open for over the counter transactions related to government transactions till normal working hours on March 30 and March 31.
