China’s stance on India-China relations was delivered by Chinese Ambassador to India Xu Feihong, who highlighted the opening of the Chinese market to all Indian goods. He stated that India and China are at a critical stage of national rejuvenation and emphasized that the relationship benefits Asia, with both nations being crucial for economic growth in the region. Xu Feihong underscored that their unity promotes a more equitable world order. He labeled the United States as a ‘bully’ and opposed the potential imposition of tariffs by Trump of up to 50% on Indian goods, asserting China’s support for India. Additionally, he noted steps taken to strengthen people-to-people connections, including the resumption of visits for Indian pilgrims and the reinstatement of tourist visas for Chinese citizens. The ambassador looked forward to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to China for the SCO Summit, which he believes would invigorate the India-China relationship.
