Now the Central Government is going to implement CAA in the country before the announcement of the dates of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

CAA was passed in the Indian Parliament on 11 December 2019, in which 125 votes were cast in its favor and 105 votes were against it. The President had approved this bill on 12 December.
What is CAA?
The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), 2019 is a law under which six religious minorities (Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians) came to India from three neighboring countries Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan before December 2014. will be given. The 9 states where citizenship has been given to non-Muslim minorities from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are Gujarat, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Maharashtra.
