BMC Budget 2024: Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has presented the budget for the financial year 2024-25. BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal presented the budget. This time the budget of BMC is Rs 59,954 crore, which is more than the budget of many states of the country. There are about 9 states in India whose budget is less than that of Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Last year’s budget of BMC was Rs 52,000 crore. But this year it has been increased by 10.50 percent. In which the budget has been increased by Rs 7 thousand crores. Many important announcements have been made in this budget. In which there is a provision of Rs 100 crore for women’s safety, Rs 178 crore for controlling the environment and increasing pollution and bringing 2000 electric buses in Mumbai city.

BMC has signed MOU with Mahanagar Gas Limited. BIO CNG plant will be established in Depnar dumping ground and CNG will be produced from the waste. There is a provision of Rs 230 crore in the budget for this.

This year, fire drones will be purchased for the fire brigade, Robotic Lifesaving Buoys will be purchased. Rs 235 crore has been introduced for this.

There is a provision of Rs 5045 crore this year for Mumbai Sewage Disposal Project. Last year it was Rs 2560 crores.

Budget of Rs 168 crore for solid waste management.

This year 2000 electric buses will be brought to Mumbai city.

Rs 2900 crore this year for Mumbai Coastal Road. Also Rs 1870 crore for Goregaon Mulund Link Road.

A total of Rs 3200 crore for Eastern and Western Express Highways, traffic signage, scrapyard, parking app and parking infra, area traffic control.

Rs 2960 crore for Mumbai Coastal Road Project from Versova to Dahisar.

“Separate fee structure” will be implemented for such patients who come from outside Maharashtra. BMC hospitals have all the facilities for domestic patients but this year a separate structure will be created for the patients coming from outside. A study will be done on this. There will be a total of three separate structures, one for patients coming from Maharashtra, the second for patients from outside Mumbai and the third for patients from Mumbai.
