Guizhou Province in China is experiencing severe flooding in Rongjiang County, leading to the activation of the highest-level emergency response. The water level on the Duliu River, as measured by the Shihuichang Hydrological Station, has surpassed the safety threshold. The local authorities have elevated the flood control emergency response to Level I, the most severe alert in China’s system. Over 41,574 residents from nearly 12,000 households have been relocated. Relief efforts involve over 1,000 soldiers equipped with heavy machinery. The National Development and Reform Commission has provided substantial financial aid for disaster relief. The floods, which began on June 24 due to sustained rainstorms, have unfortunately caused loss of life.
