A violent clash in Barkhan district, Balochistan, resulted in the deaths of four Baloch fighters on Friday. The fighting, which occurred in the Koh-e-Jandar area of Rakni tehsil, pitted the fighters against a pro-government armed group and involved the use of heavy weapons. The deceased have been named as Mustafa Noor, Samiullah, Rasaan Qadir, and Shahzaib. Their bodies were taken to a Rakni hospital. The opposing group has been described as a state-backed death squad. Pakistani authorities have yet to comment on the incident. In a separate development, a military operation in the Spilinji area of Mastung district led to intense fighting. Troops entered the mountainous region, triggering gunfire and explosions. There were casualties on both sides, with the exact figures still unknown. No Baloch armed group has claimed responsibility for the Spilinji clashes, reflecting the ongoing volatility in the region due to the conflict between nationalist groups and state forces.
