A senior data scientist of Indian origin, Santosh Yadav, was the victim of a brutal assault in Dublin, Ireland. The attack, perpetrated by a group of teenagers, left him with a fractured cheekbone and other injuries. Yadav’s account, shared on LinkedIn, described the attack as unprovoked and highlighted the increasing trend of racist violence against Indians in the city. He noted that these incidents are not isolated and are occurring across various locations. Yadav appealed to authorities, including the Irish government and Indian embassy, to take action against the perpetrators and address the rising issue of racial targeting. The attack is part of a worrying pattern, with a similar assault on an Indian man reported in another Dublin area.
