The Supreme Leader of the Taliban, Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, is reportedly altering his living arrangements frequently, a response to the threats issued by Donald Trump. Trump has been vocal in his warnings to the Taliban. Sources have disclosed that Akhundzada is regularly changing his location. Additionally, he has suspended his regular weekly meeting with the Ulema Council. While previously, Akhundzada’s residences were known, and his meetings with the Ulema Council were routine, these patterns have been disrupted. Trump’s warnings have involved the potential re-establishment of US control over Bagram Airbase and dire consequences for the Taliban should they fail to comply.
