From the beginning of September, the Indian Consulate in Dubai will enforce updated passport photo guidelines for Indian citizens. Photos must now comply with the ICAO standards established as of August 25th. This change means that those applying for a new passport or renewing an existing one will likely need to provide new photographs. Key specifications include the photo being taken from 1.5 meters away, in color, on a plain white background, and sized at 630 x 810 pixels (or 2×2 inches if printed). The face must cover 80-85% of the frame, with no filters or edits. The updated rules are designed to improve the security of Indian passports and streamline international travel.
