The FBI has arrested Cindy Rodriguez Singh, a Texas woman wanted for the death of her six-year-old son. FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the arrest, highlighting Singh’s flight to India with her family in March 2023 after authorities initiated inquiries. Singh’s arrest followed an Interpol Red Notice issued in October 2024, leading to her extradition. She has been returned to the United States, and will be processed by Texas authorities.
The investigation began with a welfare check in March 2023, triggered by the child’s absence since October 2022. The child had numerous health problems, including a developmental disorder. Singh reportedly told authorities her son was in Mexico. Shortly thereafter, Singh and her family departed for India without the child. She was later placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list. Director Patel commended the collaborative efforts between the FBI, Indian authorities, and Interpol, emphasizing that the pursuit of justice knows no boundaries.
