An MI-17 helicopter, engaged in rescue efforts amidst severe flooding in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, has crashed, leading to five fatalities. The incident happened in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where heavy rains and floods have caused widespread damage. The helicopter was providing assistance when it went down in the Pandiali area of Mohmand district. The crash was attributed to inclement weather. The helicopter was carrying relief supplies for the affected regions in Bajaur. The accident resulted in the deaths of all five crew members, including the two pilots. An inquiry is underway to determine the precise cause of the crash, including whether it was caused by weather or other factors. Rescue teams were immediately sent to the scene. The recent monsoon rains have triggered landslides and flash floods across northern Pakistan.
