Marking a key moment in tech diplomacy, Slovak President Peter Pellegrini arrived in India’s capital on Wednesday for the India-AI Impact Summit 2026. Union MoS for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh extended a cordial reception at the airport, emblematic of strengthening bonds.
The summit assembles world leaders to probe AI’s sweeping changes in areas such as learning institutions, healthcare systems, labor economies, protective measures, communication media, commercial operations, and policy architectures. Pellegrini’s role is anticipated to invigorate India-Slovakia partnerships in frontier tech, scholarly pursuits, and creative breakthroughs.
Via an X post, the MEA rejoiced in the arrival, pointing to the welcome as evidence of lively inter-nation diplomacy. Esteemed globally, this AI summit will intensively debate principled AI usage, oversight structures, and tech-driven reinventions of business and societal services. Slovak contributions are set to enrich the conversations.
Unfolding over five days, it unites over 110 countries and 30 global organizations, including principals from 20 states and 45 ministers, establishing it as a colossal hub for AI stewardship and joint efforts.
Embracing ‘Sarva Jan Hitaya, Sarva Jan Sukhaya’ as its motto, the event fuses India’s heritage ethos with modern tech tides. The fourth in its lineage after the United Kingdom, South Korea, and France, it equips policymakers to confront AI’s moral, monetary, and communal challenges, concurrently advancing cooperation in virtual technologies, trade flows, cultural dialogues, visitor industries, and maritime ventures.
