The report underscores that the most significant impact on democratic systems was observed in areas concerning free and fair elections, access to justice, and effective parliamentary functions. The United States also faces challenges, ranking 35th in representation and 32nd in rights, although it holds a top-10 position (6th) in participation. The report suggests that recent elections and political events have raised serious questions regarding the health of American democracy.
