Hamas Leadership in Hiding: Uncertainty Surrounds Their Location

The whereabouts of these Hamas officials remain a mystery. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated during a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio that Israel would hunt them down. Hamas has bases in countries like Turkey and Qatar, with a political office in Qatar. There is speculation that these Hamas officials may have quietly gone underground in Turkey. Attacking Turkey is not an easy option for Israel, as it is a NATO member. According to Article 5 of the NATO constitution, an attack on a member country is considered an attack on all members.
