Hathras. 121 people died and many were injured in a stampede during a satsang organised in Hathras, UP. National Commission for Women (NCW) Chairperson Rekha Sharma visited the site of the Hathras stampede. During this, she met the injured women. The NCW chief has appealed to everyone not to run after such Babas.

National Commission for Women Chairperson Rekha Sharma met the injured women admitted in the hospital. During this, Rekha Sharma made serious allegations against Baba Narayan Hari Sarkar and said that an FIR should be lodged against him immediately and he should be arrested. Talking to journalists, Rekha Sharma said that only three of the dead were men and the rest were women, this shows that there were only women in the entire crowd. Clearly, whoever this Baba was, he has done illegal work. He had asked for permission for 80 thousand people and gathered a crowd of more than 2 lakh and when such a big incident happened, that Baba ran away. I think an FIR should be lodged against him, he should be arrested immediately.

Appeal to not run after Babas

Rekha Sharma said, it should also be found out on whose orders all this was happening? Was it someone’s connivance or was there a plan behind it and why did the baba run away after so many people died? His servants also ran away, this is a matter of investigation. She told that as far as I have come to know, the baba’s servants did not allow even the administration people to come inside and neither did they allow anyone to take photos. These people had completely ignored the administration as well. She said that women will have to be taught not to run after such babas. The injured are being treated properly in the hospital.
