Following military actions targeting Iranian nuclear sites, the IAEA is prioritizing on-site inspections. IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi has stated that sending inspectors to assess the situation on the ground is the agency’s primary concern. Grossi emphasized the importance of verifying the enriched uranium stockpiles. He also noted the urgency of diplomatic efforts and urged parties to return to negotiations, allowing inspectors to monitor the sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Grossi underscored the risks to the nuclear non-proliferation regime and warned that failure to pursue diplomacy could lead to severe global consequences.
