In a recent interview, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar asserted India’s unwavering stance against terrorism and nuclear coercion. He declared that India would not yield to nuclear threats and would respond decisively to attacks, vowing to defend its people. Jaishankar highlighted the Pahalgam terror attack as a turning point, emphasizing the economic warfare aspect and the need to prevent terrorists from operating with impunity. He also reiterated India’s message to the world, urging a zero-tolerance approach to terrorism, regardless of the circumstances. Referencing attacks like the 26/11 Mumbai and the Parliament attacks, Jaishankar stressed that India has been battling terrorism for decades. India’s approach includes targeted strikes against terror infrastructure in response to attacks. The minister made it clear that India views terrorism as a threat to everyone and believes no country should use it to further its policies. He pointed out that India has faced terrorism since its independence and will not be swayed by nuclear threats.
