Within a 24-hour timeframe, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Portugal have officially recognized Palestine as an independent state. This support has significantly impacted Israel’s position, with a majority of European nations now seemingly aligned with Palestine.
Furthermore, four of the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council have recognized Palestine as a distinct nation, with the United States being the sole dissenting member. Including these four permanent members, over 150 countries have declared their recognition of Palestine.
