Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed his approval of the recent defense pact between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia during his address at the United Nations General Assembly. He emphasized that this agreement marks the initiation of a comprehensive regional security system. The defense deal stipulates that any aggression against either Pakistan or Saudi Arabia will be considered an attack on both nations, mandating a joint response. The agreement was formalized last week in Riyadh. Pezeshkian highlighted the significance of the agreement for Muslim countries in the region. He views it as a foundation for enhanced cooperation in political, security, and defense matters within West Asia.
