Ishaq Dar, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, arrived in Dhaka on a two-day visit on Saturday, with the primary goal of strengthening ties with Bangladesh. His visit occurs in the context of recent political shifts in the country.
Dar’s arrival via a special flight marks the first visit by a senior Pakistani leader in 13 years. Bangladesh’s Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam greeted Dar at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
