Airstrikes conducted by Israel in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, led to the deaths of several Houthi officials, including Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi. The Houthi-led administration, supported by Iran, confirmed the casualties on Saturday. According to the group, the officials were targeted during a government workshop. The Israeli military reported that it targeted a “Houthi terrorist regime target” with precision in Sanaa. Al-Rahawi had been serving as prime minister since August 2024 and held a prominent position within the Houthi administration.
