The Israeli government has dismissed claims of mistreating Greta Thunberg, a Swedish climate activist, during her recent detention. The Foreign Ministry issued a statement calling the allegations ‘brazen lies,’ particularly those stemming from the Hamas-Sumud flotilla. The ministry emphasized that all detainees were guaranteed their legal rights. They also noted that Thunberg and other detainees specifically requested to prolong their time in custody. The Ministry further stated that Thunberg did not report any mistreatment to Israeli authorities because it never occurred.
