Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed his support for the Lebanese Cabinet’s recent decision aimed at disarming Hezbollah by the close of 2025. Netanyahu stated that Israel’s military could leave Lebanon if the Lebanese government takes the appropriate measures. He clarified that Israel would also initiate a phased reduction of its military presence in southern Lebanon, contingent upon Lebanon’s progress in disarming Hezbollah. The statement follows the conclusion of a ceasefire brokered by the United States in November.
