CM Arvind Kejriwal in jail: CM Arvind Kejriwal, who is embroiled in the money laundering case related to the Delhi Liquor Policy Case, has surrendered in Tihar Jail. Kejriwal surrendered on Saturday after the expiry of his 21-day interim bail for campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections. The Supreme Court had granted interim bail to Kejriwal on May 10 and directed him to surrender in jail on June 2. Kejriwal had sought another week’s time citing medical grounds, but the trial court has reserved its decision on his petition till June 5.

I am very grateful to the Hon’ble Supreme Court. Today I will surrender by going to Tihar. I will leave home at 3 pm. First I will go to Rajghat and pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. From there I will go to Hanuman Temple at Connaught Place to seek blessings of Hanuman ji. And from there I will go to the party office and meet all the workers and party leaders. From there I will again leave for Tihar. All of you take care of yourself. I will worry about all of you in jail. If you are happy, then your Kejriwal will also be happy in jail.

Kejriwal came out of Tihar jail after 39 days Kejriwal came out of Tihar jail on May 10 after 39 days. ED had arrested him on March 21. Before this the investigation agency had sent him 9 summons. However, Kejriwal did not appear before the investigation agency for questioning even once. After his arrest, Kejriwal was in ED custody for the first 10 days.
