Tragedy struck Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this week as a bomb blast in Bajaur claimed the lives of at least five individuals, including an assistant commissioner, and injured 11 more. This attack comes amidst heightened security concerns following a suicide bombing in North Waziristan on Saturday that killed 13 security personnel. The Pakistani military attributed the North Waziristan attack to Fitna-al-Khawarij. In another incident, a suicide attacker targeted a security convoy in the Mir Ali area, resulting in injuries to numerous civilians. The Pakistani government has accused India of complicity in the Waziristan bombing, a charge that India has vehemently denied.
