Pido Erlinda Ocampo, a 53-year-old Filipino domestic worker, received a substantial fine of about Rs 8.8 lakh (13,000 Singaporean dollars) in Singapore due to a work pass violation. The infraction stemmed from Ocampo’s employment with a different entity during her rest days, contravening the regulations outlined in the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act. The Ministry of Manpower is currently probing the incident.
