Pakistan faces another devastating flood. The meteorological department alerted the public on Sunday, forecasting heavy rainfall nationwide. Flash floods in the northern part of the country have caused the death toll to rise to 327, according to officials. Since June 26th, the monsoon rains have wreaked havoc, resulting in an estimated 650 deaths.
The weather department has issued a severe weather advisory from August 17th to August 21st. Residents in the northwestern areas are urged to be prepared. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned that the unusually early and heavy monsoon rains are expected to intensify in the coming two weeks.
