With Sushila Karki now in charge as interim Prime Minister, Nepal prepares for the formation of its interim government. Addressing the nation on Sunday, Karki highlighted the importance of the youth’s role. The cabinet is expected to include a number of young leaders, with the swearing-in of ministers scheduled for Monday. The names of the key ministers for Nepal’s interim government under Karki have been decided. Sources from Sheetal Niwas, the Presidential House, suggest that Om Prakash Aryal, Rameswor Khanal, and Kulman Ghising will be sworn in. Sushila Karki took oath as Nepal’s Prime Minister on September 12. She has vowed to tackle corruption, citing the previous government’s ousting by the youth due to corruption. Karki has expressed her commitment to fulfill the youth’s expectations. She said on Sunday, “We will not stay here for more than six months under any circumstances. We will fulfill our responsibilities and hand over the command to the next parliament and ministers.” The President has announced that elections for a permanent government will be held on March 5th.
