New Delhi and Jerusalem are actively working to reschedule Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to India, which was initially slated for December. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office has firmly refuted any speculation about security concerns being the reason for the postponement. They reiterated that Israel has complete faith in India’s security protocols under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. The PMO took to social media to state, “Israel’s bond with India and between Prime Minister Netanyahu and Prime Minister @narendramodi is very strong.” They further confirmed that teams are already engaged in setting a new date for the visit. This strong bilateral relationship was underscored earlier in October during a phone call where PM Modi commended Netanyahu on advancements in the Gaza Peace Plan, a US-led effort. Modi’s remarks focused on the positive impact of hostage releases and enhanced aid for Gaza’s population on the path to peace. He also conveyed congratulations to former President Donald Trump regarding the success of this peace initiative.
