Islamabad. The series of killings of people by frenzied mobs in the name of sacrilege in Pakistan is not stopping. In the latest incident, on the night of June 20, a frenzied mob beat a tourist to death and then burnt him on the charge of sacrilege of the Quran in Madyan area of ​​Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. According to the report, the victim was a resident of Sialkot district of Pakistan’s Punjab province, and had gone to Swat as a tourist. The frenzied mob accused the tourist of setting some pages of the Quran on fire and then beat him to death and then set him on fire.

Let us tell you that Swat police had initially detained the tourist accused of ‘blasphemy’ to prevent any untoward law and order situation. Later, the frenzied mob attacked the police station and dragged the victim out of the police station and took her away with them.

Regarding this matter, Swat District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Zahidullah Khan said, “People set fire to the police station and a mobile vehicle. A total of 8 people were injured during the attack. After this, the victim was beaten to death and his body was set on fire. The video of this horrific incident went viral on social media on Thursday (June 20 night).

After the incident, heavy police force was deployed in Madyan area to calm the situation and bring law and order under control. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has taken cognizance of the matter, and has appealed to Muslims to maintain peace. He has also summoned a report on the matter and directed SDPO Dr. Zahidullah Khan to control the situation immediately.
