Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has spoken out regarding the Palhagam attack and the Operation Sindoor conflict, stating that Pakistan is ready to hold talks with India but hasn’t received any response.
Dar publicly admitted that India never agreed to any third-party mediation during a recent event. He mentioned that when Pakistan sought clarification from US Senator Marco Rubio regarding the possibility of US mediation, Rubio denied it. This statement directly contradicts former US President Donald Trump’s repeated assertions of his involvement in mediating between the two nations.
The Pakistani Foreign Minister also highlighted Pakistan’s preparedness to engage in discussions with India on the terms India prefers, without seeking any favor. He expressed openness to dialogue, as it is the key to resolving issues. He also affirmed Pakistan’s peaceful stance, indicating they wouldn’t force India to engage in talks if India is unwilling.
Former US President Trump made multiple claims, exceeding 30, since the ceasefire on May 10th between India and Pakistan. He claimed he helped establish the ceasefire, stating that if both countries stopped the conflict, the US would increase trade with them.
India has consistently denied Trump’s claims, stating that the ceasefire was agreed upon after direct talks between the military operation heads of both countries. India has maintained that Trump had no part in this process. The Pakistani Foreign Minister’s remarks now validate India’s stance by challenging Trump’s assertions.
