New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is replying to the motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha. During this period he said that in my third term the country’s economy will reach the third position. Targeting the opposition and Congress, PM Modi said that nepotism is a big threat to democracy. Without taking Rahul Gandhi’s name, he said that he had failed to fulfill his responsibility as the opposition. I have always said that the country needs a good opposition.
The Prime Minister said in Parliament that the Congress government cannot even imagine the speed with which work is being done in the country today. We built 4 crore houses for the poor, out of which 80 lakh pucca houses were built for the urban poor. If the work had been done at the speed of Congress, it would have taken 100 years to complete this much work, 100 generations would have passed.
PM Modi said that the potholes of UPA were filled in the first term. The foundation of new India was laid in the second term. The third term is also just 100-125 days away. Our third term will be full of big decisions. He also said that, when the interim budget was presented in 2014, the Finance Minister had said that India was the 11th largest economy in terms of GDP and it was a matter of pride. He further said that India will be the third largest economy in the next three decades. This means that he expected India to become the third largest economy by 2044. This was his vision. We will not let it take so much time. India will become the third largest economy in the world during my next term.
