Per the PMO, focal areas included trade expansion, investment flows, energy collaboration, digital transformation, health initiatives, agro-development, and people-centric linkages. Views were swapped on pressing global and regional concerns, underscoring Global South partnership imperatives.
Ongoing contact was affirmed. Shared affinities on international matters have sustained warm India-Venezuela rapport, active in bilateral growth and multilateral engagements. 2023 honored 64 years of diplomacy, with embassies enduring over 40 years.
Venezuela’s status as a prime oil source for India highlights economic interdependence. ITEC facilitates yearly expert training from Venezuela, alongside ICCR scholarships for four students annually since 2017. The Indian community there comprises 50 NRIs and 30 PIOs.
Amid volatile oil markets, this exchange reinforces India’s diversification strategy and diplomatic outreach to the Americas.
