A meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is anticipated on the fringes of the NATO Summit in The Hague. Confirmation of this was provided by a source connected to the Ukrainian President. Despite the focus on Ukraine in current summits, Zelenskyy has not been invited to the crucial NATO session. Andriy Yermak, a senior advisor to Zelenskyy, indicated he was in communication with US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, about preparations for their meeting. Yermak posted on X that he had a significant conversation with Rubio, expressing gratitude for their recent discussions and Rubio’s backing. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has raised concerns regarding Zelenskyy’s ability to legitimately sign a treaty, while also signaling a willingness to engage in peace talks.
