Andriy Yermak, a senior advisor to Zelenskyy, indicated he was in communication with US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, about preparations for their meeting. Yermak posted on X that he had a significant conversation with Rubio, expressing gratitude for their recent discussions and Rubio’s backing. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has raised concerns regarding Zelenskyy’s ability to legitimately sign a treaty, while also signaling a willingness to engage in peace talks.
