President Draupadi Murmu leaves for Mauritius on three-day visit

New Delhi. President Draupadi Murmu left for Mauritius on Monday on a three-day visit. The President will attend the National Day celebrations of Mauritius tomorrow i.e. Tuesday as the chief guest. A contingent from the Indian Navy will also participate in this ceremony. This will also include the first training squadron ships of the Indian Navy, INS Tir and CGS Sarathi. Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a post on social media platform X that President Draupadi Murmu has left for her first state visit to Mauritius. She will attend the National Day celebrations of Mauritius as the chief guest.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal posted on Twitter and said, President Draupadi Murmu's visit will prove to be a new milestone in India-Mauritius relations. Let us tell you that Draupadi Murmu is the sixth Indian President to attend the National Day of Mauritius as the chief guest since 2000. The Ministry of External Affairs said, the President will be on a state visit to Mauritius from 11 to 13 March. During this, she will jointly inaugurate 14 India-supported projects with Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth.
