Vishal Aggarwal, father of the minor boy accused in the Pune Porsche incident, has been sent to police custody for 2 days. Under the order of Pune Sessions Court, he will remain in police custody till May 24. During this time he will be interrogated. Was arrested from Aurangabad on Tuesday. Vishal had tried his best to dodge the police before his arrest. He had hatched this conspiracy only after the FIR was registered against him. But the police arrested him on the basis of CCTV footage, GPS and input from his relatives.
Vishal Aggarwal had absconded from Pune after FIR was registered against him. To dodge the police, 3 cars came out of his house. He himself was driving one car, the remaining 2 cars were being driven by his drivers. They left for Mumbai in their car, while one driver went towards Goa and the other towards Kolhapur. After this he switched off his mobile. Got in touch with another number of the family.
He also changed his car on the way. Chhatrapati left for Sambhajinagar in his friend’s car. Also went to his farm house in Daund. In between, keep informing your family members about your location. On Monday night he stayed with his driver in a lodge in Sambhajinagar. Here the crime branch kept going after him. His location was traced through GPS. His footage was found in CCTV, through which he was identified.
Chhatrapati was arrested on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday from the lodge in Sambhajinagar, where he was staying. He will be produced in the Pune district court. The police on Monday sought permission from the High Court to prosecute the minor accused as an adult accused. The court had rejected the police’s appeal. The police have formed several teams to investigate this incident.
Minor crushed 2 engineers with sports car Porsche
This hit and run incident happened on the morning of 19th May. In Kalyani Nagar area of Pune, the 17 year old son of real estate developer Vishal Agarwal ran over two engineers riding a bike with his sports car Porsche, killing both of them. The accused minor got bail from the court after 14 hours with some conditions. The court had directed him to work with the traffic police for 15 days and write an essay of 300 words on the impact and solution of road accidents. Police investigation revealed that the accused was driving the car at a very high speed under the influence of alcohol.
Pune Police Commissioner said that the minor accused in this case should be tried like an adult. For this the police has sought permission from the higher court. A case has been registered against the accused under sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 304A (causing death by negligence) of the IPS and sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.
