Houthi rebels from Yemen successfully attacked Israel, breaching its air defense systems. A drone strike hit Ramon Airport on Sunday, leading to the suspension of air traffic and flight delays. Visuals shared online showed an explosion and smoke emanating from the site. Israeli media sources later confirmed that the drone, originating from Yemen, struck a passenger terminal at Ramon Airport, injuring two individuals. Israeli air defenses intercepted three other drones launched from Yemen on the same day. The fourth drone, however, reached and impacted the airport terminal. The authorities are investigating the failure of the warning sirens. In response to the attack, the Israeli Airports Authority announced the suspension of air navigation services at the airport.
